Ensure the water tank is installed on a level, rigid, and clean surface with full bottom support to avoid structural stress. For smaller tanks (up to 500L), two people can lift by hand. For larger tanks, use a lifting rope and ensure full support from the bottom. Avoid rolling on rough surfaces or dragging, as it may lead to abrasion or cracks. Always use a protective sheet under and around the tank during handling and transport.
For pipe fittings, use a multi-saw cutter (up to 2" diameter) or a drill for larger holes. First, determine the required hole size and mark the center below the top pocket, centrally on the tank’s side wall. Draw the cut line clearly, then carefully cut to avoid structural damage. Do not use chisels, as this may cause cracks or weaken the tank surface, leading to long-term issues.
Always use the recommended pipe sizes based on tank capacity (refer to the technical chart). Fit the connection using rubber gaskets and secure with two check nuts from both sides for a tight seal. Avoid direct connection from the pump to the tank. Ensure the entire pipeline is well-supported and there is no tension on the fittings. Use only high-quality fittings and tools to avoid leaks or tank damage.
✔ Keep the tank lid closed at all times to prevent dust and insects. ✔ Maintain water temperature between 10°C and 60°C for optimal performance. ✔ Use ROHS-tested and certified food-grade tools when needed. ✔ Always check all joints and pipes before using the tank. ✔ Provide correct overflow and inlet positioning to utilize full tank capacity. ✔ Use only approved tools like multi-saw cutters or drills for hole creation.
✖ Don’t install the tank on a vibrating, sloped, or uneven surface. ✖ Don’t use fittings larger than recommended in Table A, as it may weaken the tank. ✖ Don’t make direct pump connections, which may cause excess pressure damage. ✖ Don’t use hammer or chisel to make pipe holes – it may result in cracks. ✖ Don’t install overflow pipe below the inlet, as this prevents full tank capacity usage. ✖ Don’t ignore minor leaks – stop usage and contact customer support immediately.
Improper installation can void warranty coverage. P4 International tanks are built using UV-stabilized LLDPE and are suitable for indoor and outdoor use. If any leak or damage occurs, stop using the tank immediately and contact P4 Customer Care. Repair attempts by untrained personnel may void warranty terms. Failure to follow installation instructions can lead to permanent damage or tank failure and will be the customer’s responsibility.
